Woodrow Wilson Family Home

The Woodrow Wilson Family Home is South Carolinas only presidential site.

It was the home in which Woodrow Wilson, Americas 28th president, spent much of his boyhood years.

The home is a manse built in the style of an Italianate villa, standing out well from the backdrop of Columbia.

There arent many activities at the Woodrow Wilson Family House, but the main one is a treat for history buffs: vignettes and exhibits, complete with backstories regarding Wilson himself, that pepper the home.

They give you insight into 1871 and the history of Wilson, back then known by the nickname Tommy, and its one of the more special Columbia attractions as the last of its kind in the state.

Count The Mice On Main Street

Can you find all nine tiny mice sculptures on Greenvilles Main Street? It doesnt cost you anything to try! Established in 2000, Jim Ryans brainchild of adding the small mice figures to Main Street came to him through a reading of the childrens book Goodnight Moon, in which there are nine mice hiding throughout the pages. After careful fundraising, research, and commissioning, nine little mice dot the main thoroughfare of downtown Greenville, spanning from the Hyatt to the Westin Poinsett. This little scavenger hunt is a great way to spend a warm, sunny afternoon.
