Sight See Fort Pierce On Links Scooters

Teens can be picky, and I have one that doesnt always love what activities I come up with. However, renting electric scooters was a hit for the whole family and Mr. Picky!

What exactly is an electric scooter? It is like the razor scooter you had as a kid, but AMPED up, and you dont have to power it with your foot either. Electric scooters have a small motor and are secured on larger wheels.

Admittedly, I had no idea how to use one of these, so I was glad that I had some instructions beforehand. The key is to give your scooter a small push off with your foot and then squeeze the throttle with your thumb. Youll be a bit taken off guard for a moment, and then off youll go!!

Where should you explore? That is up to you. You can hop from location to location, or you can take a sightseeing trip along the waterway. One place to make sure you go is the Peacock District Arts District to enjoy the wandering peacocks and visit a few local shops.

Other scooter stops I recommend to explore:

  • Seven Gables House Visitor Center
  • A. E. Backus Museum and Gallery
  • Fort Pierce Farmers Market
  • Street Art locations

Museums Science And History Centers

The St. Lucie County Regional History Center provides visitors with facts about the area’s earliest indigenous peoples, famous citizens and the area fishing industry. The PGA Learning Center houses a PGA museum with complimentary admission the center also offers golf lessons to the public. Another attraction that the elderly might enjoy is the St. Lucie County Aquarium , a 5,000-square-foot facility. Check out its Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, open since 2000.

Smithsonian Marine Station Fort Pierce

This is near one of my favorite Treasure Coast waterways, the Fort Pierce Inlet. Make sure and bring a bathing suit when you visit the Smithsonian Marine Station because chances are you’ll want to take a dip. The main building houses some of the most interesting creatures you’ll find in Florida waters, and is a fantastic learning center perfect for little ones. The first Tuesday of the month is free so make sure and check it out then, although the regular admission is very reasonable and worth every cent.
