This Sunday, December 26th, the zoo hosts its Milwaukee County Zoo Wild Lights event, a holiday lights experience featuring millions of lights placed throughout the zoo. Guests can experience animal-themed light displays like Flamingle all the Way, Jungle Bells, and FanaSEA, a large snow globe, and more. Festive food and drinks will be available.

Historic Third Ward
In Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward, you’ll find creative inspiration like art studios in former warehouses, galleries, and performing arts venues. It’s a fine time to get artsy on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, September 56, 2020, at the Third Ward Art Festival, featuring almost 150 juried artists displaying and selling their painting, jewelry, sculptures, pottery, photography, and more.
All ages are welcome to enjoy the fun at this family-friendly event, with activities like art fest bingo, spin art, and live music. Eat on-site or nearby at local restaurants or the Milwaukee Public Market.
Admission is free, but parking is limited. Most street parking is closed down and there is a $10 fee for parking at either of the Third Ward parking structures.

The Kids2Kids Christmas Wonderland, a drive-thru holiday experience at one of Kapco Metal Stamping’s facilities in Grafton, returns for a second year, with three light tunnels, millions of lights and more. The 23rd annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival is running now through January 1st. Take a stroll through the streets of downtown Milwaukee and view more than 500,000 lights, animated sculptures, interactive displays, and festive street decor. Displays can be found in Cathedral Square Park, Zeidler Union Square, and Pere Marquette Park. In addition to light displays, you can check out 100 evergreen Christmas trees decorated by area schools and businesses, and drop off your childs wishlist at Santas mailbox in Cathedral Square Park. Lions Den Gorge Nature Preserve

This nature preserve in Grafton is home to one of the last remaining stretches of undeveloped bluff land along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The views are stunning!
The park is 73 acres with plenty of hiking trails, boardwalks through wetlands, picnic areas, and restrooms.
The trails are relatively stroller-friendly, but youll have to ditch the stroller to take the stairway down to walk along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Caution! Be very careful on the trails because the cliffs and bluffs are very steep. Its best to put babies and toddlers in a carrier.

Hike on the stroller and wheelchair friendly boardwalk through Mystery Lake. Climb a 60-foot Observation Tower. Take the paved trail down to Lake Michigan. Stop in the visitor center and see Emerson, a resident snapping turtle, and other animal ambassadors. Enjoy family programming for people of all ages, starting at 6 months. Visit on weekend afternoons to see a raptor up close, or go on a guided hike. Schlitz Audubon also offers a preschool, summer camps, birthday parties, and scouting programs.

The Kapco Kidz2Kidz Christmas Wonderland drive-thru holiday experience runs now through December 30th in Grafton . The event, back for its second year, features millions of lights, three mesmerizing light tunnels, holiday decor, an ice rink, a nativity scene, Santas workshop, and more. Tickets start at $20 per vehicle on weekdays and $25 per vehicle on weekends. VIP packages with front-of-the-line access are also available. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy, which will be donated back to a child in the community.
