Olympic Training Center Colorado Springs
The Olympic Training Center is a 35-acre complex located on East Boulder Street near downtown Colorado Springs. It is a state-of-the-art athletic complex for sports like gymnastics, swimming, weightlifting, and wrestling, and it is also the home of the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Other facilities include dining halls, residence halls, a sports medicine and sport science center, and two swimming pools. The center offers guided tours throughout the year including tours for preschoolers. The one-hour tour begins with a video followed by a walking tour. The Team USA Shop is located in the Visitor Center it sells items related to sports and the Olympics.

Shop And Play At Manitou Springs
As we mentioned above, the charming town of Manitou Springs is located about 10 minutes west of downtown Colorado Springs.
People first started visiting Manitou Springs to enjoy the healing mineral spring waters that are found in the town. Now, Manitou Springs is a mecca for outdoor activities and some fabulous shops and restaurants for visitors to enjoy during their time in Colorado Springs, CO.
One of the most popular hiking trails in this area is the Manitou Incline. Gaining nearly 1,000 feet of elevation over the less than 1-mile hike means this isnt for the fain of heart.
There are eight hot spring that you can visit to ease those soar hiking muscles as well. You can stop at the Visitor Center to grab a map of the hot springs.
One of our favorite things to do in Manitou is to explore the many boutique shops and restaurants that line Manitou Avenue.

The Cave Of The Winds
Down the road from the cliff dwellings is another rich, educational experience. The Cave of the Winds is an absolute local favorite! Itll be hard to leave the beautiful canyon vistas and enter the chambers of the vast cave system, but when inside the tour will boast geological wonders and unique-to-Colorado history. Its incredible! After exiting the mouth of the cave, you will have plenty to do between the Wind Walker Challenge Course, Bat-A-Pult zipline ride and the climbing wall. If youre brave enough to tip over the edge of the cliff on the Terror-Dactyl plunge, make sure to leave your sunglasses with the attendant, because yes, you really go 100-miles per hour, and yes you will scream.
