Interact With Sea Animals At Mystic Aquarium
There is also a large indoor space, with many displays as well as touch tanks. As evidenced by my Halloween costume this year, I love jellyfish, and we spend a lot of time at Jellies: The Ocean in Motion Exhibit. Did you know that moon jellies become the color of the food they eat, like flamingos?
One of our favorite things to do at Mystic Aquarium is to feed and pet the stingrays. They are so excited to get the food they come right up to get a lot of hands-on stingray experience.
The absolute best experiences we have had at Mystic Aquarium are their encounters. We have had the privilege of working with the trainers and meet the animals up-close. We have done the Penguin Encounter and Whales Up-Close, in which we got to help train and touch a beluga.

Day : Mystic Aquarium
It was our last day in Mystic, Connecticut so we checked out of the hotel and made our way to Olde Mistick Village for breakfast and to visit the Mystic Aquarium.
I was really excited to visit the Mystic Aquarium. It is located in Olde Mistick Village and I had heard great things about it. We parked at the aquarium and walked over to grab breakfast at Deviant Donuts.
Deviant Donuts is located at Olde Mistick Village and is a specialty donut shop that has a rotating weekly menu of specialty items. We had been following along on their account and I couldnt wait to try! They were delicious!
After breakfast we walked back to the Aquarium and got in line for our timed entry. I suggest purchasing tickets ahead of time for your visit. We wanted to be there as soon as it opened so we booked the first time slot.
This was best to make sure the crowds were low and we basically had the exhibits to ourselves. During our stay there were arrows marking the ground to control the flow of traffic. It made it easy to see everything during our visit and keep socially distanced.
Once the aquarium opened they took took our temperatures and scanned our tickets. Masks were required during our visit.
Mystic Aquarium is unlike any aquarium I have ever visited. There is an outdoor area and an indoor area that guests can explore.
After the shark excitement we headed back outside to see the Beluga whales. There was also a indoor dinosaur walk through exhibit that we visited before we left.

Charles W Morgan Mystic Ct
The crown jewel of the Mystic Seaport Museum, the Charles W.Morgan is the last of its kind. After five years of meticulous restoration, this magnificent tall ship, once a part of the 2,700 vessels-strong whaling fleet, sailed on its 38th journey. It spent more than 200 years on the worlds seas after being launched in 1841 from the New Bedford, Massachusetts shipyard of Jethro and Zachariah Hillman.
It sailed from Arctic waters to Cape Horn and survived hostile natives and even the Hurricane of 1938. Instead of hardened sailors, the decks of the beautiful historic ship are now receiving millions of tourists who learn an important story of Americas maritime heritage.

The Arujo & Barboza Family Homes
Youll need to drive a little further out for this one, but Pawcatuck, CT, is almost as cute as Mystic if you have more time to explore.
Head to Mechanic Street to see the two homes used as filming locations for the girls family homes. Youll spot them at 185-187, but dont be too big of a creep. These are private residences.
Note: Kat, Daisy and her mom lived at 187. Jojo and her parents lived at 185. If youve seen the movie, you know that Jojo gets quite caught up with Bill at that house at one point before her parents walk in. Its very spicy.
