Catch A Live Show At The Stone Pony
As previously mentioned, The Stone Pony is one of the top attractions in Asbury. Its been a staple in New Jerseys music scene since it opened in 1974, with locals like Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi putting it on the map.
Its one of the coolest attractions in New Jersey if youre a fan of music, serving as a launchpad for many New Jersey natives. If you want to catch a show at this legendary nightclub, youll find a good mix of both popular and up-and-coming bands showcased.
Located just off the beachfront Asbury Park Boardwalk, its easy to access too. It has a packed calendar full of events year-round, so check the official website for upcoming shows.
Just steps from the beach and boardwalk, Wonder Bar is another notable stop on the music tour of Asbury Park. With a colorful facade, this beach bar features live music, TV sports, and a dog-friendly patio. Its popular for its unique Yappy Hour, where furry friends are allowed to join their owners in a fenced-in outdoor area!
Nab A Funnel Cake At Wildwood Boardwalk
The quintessential American shop-and-amusements-lined boardwalk as we know it originated in New Jersey, specifically in Atlantic City in 1870. Since then, New Jersey has built a number of substantial boardwalks along its shore, in towns such as Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights and Ocean City.
But the best boardwalk, in our opinion, is in Wildwood . The two-mile-long stretch of planks has all the boardwalk classics, from funnel cake stands to frozen custard spots to tacky T-shirt shops, as well as the amusement park Moreys Piers, which is spread across three piers.
As you stroll, keep an ear out for the tram cars youll hear them blare out watch the tram car, please, which has become something of a tagline for the boardwalk.
Have A Night Out On Grove Street

- The Ashford /with Rooftop Bar
- Orale Mexican Kitchen

Museum Of American Glass
Southern New Jersey is referred to as the Cradle of American Glass. Glass factories have been operating here for over 200 years because the soil has a lot of silica, which is melted to make glass.
The Wheaton family, owners of Wheaton Glass Industries, opened the Museum of American Glass in the 1960s. The museum is now the largest glass museum in the world, with over 6,500 items on display.
You can view the worlds largest glass bottle, which stands eight inches tall, and holds 188 gallons. Another famous piece in the collection is a childs coffin made entirely of glass. Its one of two glass coffins in the world that are unoccupied.
What youll need to know: Check the events calendar for glassblowing and artist demonstrations.
Spots To Explore New Jerseys Horrors Hauntings And Hoaxes
In New Jersey, it can be difficult to separate fact from fiction. In 1909, newspapers published accounts of a monster known as the Jersey Devil said to be prowling the Pine Barrens. In 1938, a radio broadcast declared that aliens were invading the small community of Grovers Mill. And today, streets and signs suggest ominous origins with names like Ghost Lake and Shades of Death Road. If you know where to look, the Garden State offers stories far stranger than any Springsteen song or scene from The Sopranos. Here are seven sites to explore the hauntings, horrors, and supernatural phenomena of New Jersey. As the pandemic continues, we hope this virtual trip helps you explore Americas wonders. If you do choose to venture out, please follow all guidelines, maintain social distance, and wear a mask.
